Arraignment planned for Dover men in mill break case

Ernest Fohett and James McEken na of Dover face arraignment after arrest for breaking and entering the Newmarket Manufacturing mill at Newmarket. Deputy Sheriff Shaw transported them to Newmarket this afternoon. County Belicitar Gupta, handling the case, will prosecute.

Drowned Man and Family Rescued After Boat Explosion

In Rockland Maine on a late Saturday night an explosion in a motor boat threw Joseph W. Gerrish 23, his wife and her brother Maynard Davis 12 into the water. Two passing fishermen saved the woman and boy, but Gerrish’s body was not recovered. The couple had married about three months.

Paving contract awarded to Fitzgibbons and Dolan of Beverly

The Board of Public Works awarded a paving contract to Fitzgibbons and Dolan of Beverly for 44 886 60 dollars. They will supply and lay edge stone granite brick pavement on concrete bases along Richards avenue Market street Islington street and related sections, to be completed by October. The bid was not the lowest but approved after reviewing brick types and contractor qualifications.

Belle Isle investment fuels grand Boston summer home

Belle Isle near Little Harbor is undergoing a $50,000 overhaul by M. W. Kerrissey of Boston after paying $30,000 for the island and planning a $20,000 expansion. The project includes a three story lounge, sun parlor, wide veranda, oak floors, elaborate interiors, and servant quarters. A bridge connects the island to Little Harbor with new plumbing, lighting, and asbestos roofing for all structures.

A New York Supreme Court verdict awards Stephen Wolds and Co. $36,084 against Postal Telegraph for damages after a telegram to a New Orleans agent misquoted cotton sale terms.
