Train bombing near Matehatan sparks Sino Japanese tensions

The incident involved a Chinese special train entering Matehatian suburb. A clash with Japanese guards followed the bombing under a railroad bridge at 3:20 am. Two bombs damaged rail cars and a fire spread to four coaches. Suspects were arrested and officials detained.

Collision damages two vehicles at State and Middle streets

A car owned by Charles Laski of Gosling Road and a truck from Portsmouth Fish Co operated by Fred C Grandy collided yesterday afternoon at the State and Middle streets intersection. Both vehicles sustained considerable damage, neither driver was injured, and Laski’s car was towed to the Hislop Garage.

Message From Dirigible May Be From Italia Missing

A Soviet relief commission probes a garbled radio report claimed to be from the missing Italia near Franz Josef Land. An amateur radio operator in northern Dyinsk Province says a message appeared to link to Italia Nobile and Franz Josef Land.
