Radio Airplane and Bloodhounds Hunt Murderer

Unidentified man hunted after he invaded the Reese dairy home near Jackson Mississippi. He killed 19 year old Martha Reese and gravely wounded 24 year old Mrs Reese as two children witnessed the attack. A maid saw a man leaving the scene and a flashlight bearing child reported a bank and a ring. Police review a possible link to a past trouble involving Reese.

Ship Search Plane to St John for Nungesser Rescue

New York June 4 The Jeanne D Arc Fokker monoplane to aid the Newfoundland search for French fliers Nungesser and Coli will be shipped by boat from New York to St Johns. The takeoff for Bouton North leg was delayed by earth inducter compass adjustments. A second plane with spare parts was prepared for shipment to St Johns.

Serious fire at Congress street shoe shine shop

A fire erupted in the shoe shine parlor of George Seliris on Congress street after a steam cleaning apparatus ignited hats and straw around the ceiling. Flames spread to the parlor and awning, with quick actions by employee Ernest Ross preventing further injury. Seliris suffered burns to the arms and face, treated at Allagon's drug store, while other workers escaped unharmed. Firefighters and chemicals arrived swiftly, and damage extended to the upstairs barber shop.

Manchester High selects Portsmouth headmaster as principal

At a Manchester board meeting last evening Wil liam Morrison, headmaster of Portsmouth High School, was elected principal of Manchester High School. Morrison said the offer was unsolicited and he had not reached a decision. He has been in town a short time but is already popular with students and staff, who regret his possible departure.

Members of the Alfred Gooding Guild from South Parish visited Mr and Mrs Charles W Gray at Gray Lodge Kit tery Friday evening for music dancing and diversions. Guests admired Gray s antique collection while refreshments were served. Guild plans a Shoals picnic Monday June 27 during the Y P C U conference with Cornwall Gray and Valentine Lear representing the group.
