UNH Student Taps Way to Miss Stratham Fair Crown
Emily Hughes, a 21 year old UNH student from Gilmanton, was crowned Miss Stratham Fair 2004 after a tap dance to Paul Abdul’s Straight Up. She drew on Campus Activity Board experience and poise. The 34th Miss Stratham Fair advances to Miss New Hampshire in April. the winner competes in Miss America in 2005. Hughes, in a white gown, said she was not nervous and noted this was her fifth pageant.
