Police investigate a Friday 9:15 am robbery at Citizens Bank in Hampton Falls. A white male in a yellow rain coat and ski mask demanded cash, then fled to the rear lot and disappeared into the woods. Witnesses saw him enter a parked vehicle and drive off in an unknown direction.
Police in Hampton Falls, along with State Police and FBI, cordoned off the bank parking lot after undisclosed cash was found. A 6 foot tall suspect fled on foot, possibly switching to a gray Ford Taurus with Massachusetts plates, then a white NH plated vehicle. No arrests announced.
The House approved sweeping security legislation 371 to 40 after Senate passage, aiming to fulfill 9/11 Commission recommendations. It prioritizes risk assessments for federal security funding to states and cities including New York and Washington and funds new security programs.
PORTSMOUTH authorities say disciplinary action report on a police lieutenant accused of grabbing a female subordinate’s breast is complete. Police Commission Chairman Jack Kelley announced the full panel findings will be released early next week after a 24 hour notice requirement.
