A Rochester man, Scott Perkins, 34, fell asleep at 6:53 a.m. and drove a 1995 Ford Explorer into a utility pole on Route 236 near Brattle Street in Outh Berwick Maine. The crash cut power to about 1,600 customers as lines fell across the road and traffic was diverted while Central Maine Power crews repaired the damage.
