Man, 20, sought on felonies after hammer assault at traffic circle
Maxwell Rome, 20, of Rye, is wanted on first degree assault and reckless conduct charges after a Sunday night melee at a traffic circle. Police say he swung a hammer at a combatant, splitting his scalp, and a window was smashed during the fight that began at the Woodbury Avenue Holiday Inn and moved to other locations. Rome remains at large as officers warn he may be armed and dangerous.
