NRC halts Seabrook construction amid NE site review
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission ordered a three week suspension of construction at the Seabrook nuclear plant in New Hampshire to protect its right to compare Seabrook with other New England sites. Three boxes of heavily shielded radioactive medical material were stolen Friday from a delivery truck outside Providence Hospital in Holyoke Massachusetts. E R Squibb and Sons of Princeton New Jersey said there is a minimum hazard if the boxes remain closed. A company spokeswoman declined to identify the material or its hazard level.

Judge defers sentencing for doctor on drug charges

New Hampshire to be Reimbursed for Seabrook Protest Costs
Gov. Meldrim Thomson said New Hampshire spent 73 699 dollars policing last weekend’s Seabrook nuclear protest but will be reimbursed by Public Service Co.
