About 30 people gathered at Exeter Town Hall to hear UNH professor Robert McGrath discuss health care systems and NH reforms. Attendees included state Senator Maggie Hassan and Exeter representatives as they seek affordable, accessible care and continued hospice coverage in New Hampshire.

The district joined many others canceling classes to allow cleanup. First Student buses faced delays as crews dug out, with snow drifts obscuring streets. Local students praised the break and amused themselves despite ongoing snow removal.

Rollover sends two to hospital in Kittery Maine
A Toyota Camry rolled onto a snow bank on Wilson Road sending two Eliot residents to York Hospital. Nathan Levine age 85 suffered a minor head injury while his wife Mirian 79 was examined for possible injuries. Police said speeds were too high for snowy roads and no other vehicles were involved. Other drivers faced slick conditions and some cars were stuck.

Islington Street safety plan eyed for five year budget
Portsmouth residents urged City Council to include street improvements on Islington Street in the five year capital improvement budget. Denise Cloutier Greeley cited speeding and asked for blinking crosswalk lights after the death of Jacqueline Murray.
