Blanche Dubois and Samuel Linden, both from Lewiston Maine, were convicted in Salem court for robbing a Barerhtll store proprietor last month. Abe Dubois and Frances Mant Roma acted as attorneys. The youths, about thirteen, attended a Portsmouth school and claimed a borrowed coat led to the crime.
Kenneth W. Howard a salesman charged with passing counterfeit money in Boston was not charged after police found no complaint filed against him and he was released yesterday afternoon by local police.

Philimon Harthain, the only Civil War era Young New England soldier present at Ford's Theatre when President Lincoln was shot, has died of pneumonia in Bavebhit Massachusetts. Enlisted at 15 in the 14th EL Infantry, he served on military police duty the night of the assassination. A native of Chatham New Hampshire, he was 77. Mr and Mrs Leon Roberts and their young son return from a visit with relatives in Brookline Italy.
