A sixth birthday celebration for Johnson daughter at her home featured guests Betty Lanth Carol Sue Thorsell Charles Thorsell Jay Dudley and Mary Bronk among others. The party was hosted by Mr and Mrs Philip Johnson Sr. and followed by home festivities.
A Christmas Eve style program at Advent Christian Church Eliot featured Eugene Mere Thrill, youth director of Ports mouth Advent Church, as guest breaker. Youth Fellowship members sang carols for shutin members. The evening included a Christmas program with recitations and a film To Bach a Gift. A social followed at Helen Staples home as Raymond Penney was presented a gift.

Vegetables include potatoes cabbage onions squash and rutabagas with broccoli mushrooms carrots and parsley limited by recent Florida crop damage. Fruits pricebly steady with apples and D'Atma pears affordable. grapes higher due to holiday demand. Meats offer pork Boston butt ham picnic shoulder and roasts. beef selections include click roasts bottom round and stew meat. Fresh seafood features sea scallops pollock and oysters.
Kittery church to host dedication of new sanctuary memorials and bells in special services on January 7 at 7 30 pm. The church recently completed a nine year period of reconstruction and redecorating.
The Degree of Chevalier honor will be conferred for outstanding service in memory of Harvey R. Grant by his wife and sister. Arthur Clough Jr and Arthur Clough will participate with Odney Habinson, Warren Ward, and Paul Ross assisting. The dining room tables were decorated by Mr. and Mrs. Sars M. Coogee and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Green. Coffee was served by Mr. Hall, L. Herbert Clough, and Mrs. Zebu Ian F. Warner. A show titled The Christmas List was presented by Mr. and Mrs. Bruce E. Russell. Each member brought a gift to exchange.
Mr and Mrs Jon Howe hosted a piano students Christmas party on Monday in their studio with assistant hostesses.
