Paris reports at 9 30 this morning the ministry of marines has no information on the Dixmude after days of drifting near Tunis. Forty three crew were aboard when last heard, with latest official note stating 48 on board. Uncertainty remains about its present condition and location.
Joseph Tomanini, former prizefighter and owner of the White Poodle cabaret in Greenwich Village, was shot early today after leaving an apartment on Hancock Street. The attacker fled. police suspect a feud. Tomanini reportedly carried about $2000, but no cash was found on arrival at the hospital.
In Sileafeld Park New Jersey on December 26 the arraignment of Burton S. Tucker seventeen and his forty eight year old wife Mrs Tucker on indictments connected with their marriage last October was expected to be postponed until after the New Year.
