Adelphia December 23 Associated Press reports Lessing J. Rosenwald, chairman of Sears Roebuck, said he was threatened by a man demanding 330000. Police arrested Schultze, 54, near the scene after a letter allegedly threats crime. Rosenwald described the letter that demanded payment and warned harm if declined, with the payoff arranged at Olmey Ave and American Street.
Three bandits stopped a payroll car carrying Morris Gordon and Michael Alpern in Roxbury after obtaining funds from a bank. They forced the car to halt with a pursuing vehicle, then seized the money and a pistol before fleeing in a waiting car.
