Danny Morin Gets New Leg In Boston
Plucky 13 year old Danny Morin of Wentworth Acres, famed for courage during a leg amputation, traveled to Boston Monday and received a high quality artificial limb funded by Bud Abbott and Lou Costello. He is learning to use it rapidly, walking unaided part time and using crutches as he gains balance. He attends sixth grade and visits a Rehabilitation center after school for leg exercises and occupational therapy, recently making a belt and a wooden box with a bronze cover and a stool. Danny keeps busy painting storefronts for Halloween and plans more play once he masters the limb.
