Newly elected Amicus Club officers led by president Mrs. Stanley H Tobey at the First Christian Church vestry as members pledged $100 for the year. Birth day plates fund raising will continue with Mrs Alvin H Drusendahl in charge. Christmas ecards for out of town members were arranged and plans made to remember hospitalized members. Hostesses included Mrs Hilbert G Boyer Mrs Burgess F Dorr and Mrs Ed win S Evans. A penny auction is set for Jan 5 at the home of Mrs Frederick Marshenden and Mrs Frederick Merriam with Mrs Hilton M Emery assisting.

The Woman s Society of Christian Service of the Host Eliot Methodist Church held its annual Christmas party at Mrs Loren F Klingmann s home. The program Christmas in Different Lanes was chaired by Mrs Rosept man. Mrs Klingmann and Mrs Albert Morris decorated a cake with seasonal motifs. The resignation of Mrs Richard Hayward as secretary of spiritual life was accepted and Mrs Walter Ketaler was appointed. Plans were made to assemble shut in baskets to be delivered next week. Eliot delegates Mrs Archambault Mrs Minnutt Miss Canterbury and Miss Thompson attended the Baha i State Convention in Portland. Douglas Struyen of Fryeburg was chosen as delegate to the national convention to be held in Wilmette Illinois next April.
