Santa's Letterbox letters draw lonely hearts in Columbus
In Columbus the city set up a Santa Claus mailbox at City Hall for adults seeking companionship. By midweek sixteen letters asked for toys from youngsters, fourteen sought a male partner from four states. A widow, 14 years deserted, asked for a suitable bachelor. Respondents urged long distance calls and even hinted at marriage.
