Weather outlook for northern New England tonight into Saturday

Cloudy conditions expected in northern New England with snow or rain late tonight or Saturday. Slow warming to 1 degree temperature, interior regions turning partly cloudy by Saturday afternoon. Moderate southeast winds expected, possible shifting direction overnight.

Accidental Death Verdict in Ramsdell Case

Sanford Maine December 19 Dead by drowning the verdict delivered early this morning by Dr George Burgess Magrath Harvard pathologist after a four hour autopsy on the body of Frank Ramsdell 26 year old Waterboro man whose disappearance lasted 18 days and whose body was dragged from Lake Ossipee Ramsdell’s examination showed no signs of gunshot stab wounds strangulation or blows Dr Magrath declared the death certificate was signed by Dr Stephen A Cobb county medical examiner and Waterboro undertaker William c Nason received the body and the county attorney Hawkes declared the case closed with no further inquiry needed into the drowning circumstances.

Looters Shake Down Christmas Trade With $10,000 Cargo Seized

Cohasset Massachusetts police seized two hundred sacks of liquor valued around 510,000 on the beach at the estate of J F McElwain a summer home owner and Chicago shoe maker. Chief Hector Pelletier with four officers intercepted four men who fled by boat leaving eight overcoats and liquor including Old Crow whiskey gin and wine. The seizure follows several similar cases in the area as officers from night patrol Jason Curley and Earl Mearthur aided by others secured the goods awaiting arrival of authorities.

Child Hit by Car in City Streets

Jol Morris, seven, of 47 Cornwall Street, was struck by an automobile driven by Frank D. Crowley of 31 Cottage Street yesterday. He was taken to a physician's office and found to be injured.
