He worked at Portsmouth Navy Yard before enlisting over two years ago. He trained at Camp Gruber and in Texas and went overseas about a year ago. He is 24 years old.
State Treasurer F Gordon Kimball announced that by December 1 the $3 poll tax to fund the veterans bonus had brought in 464,405.57. Collections came from 196 of the state’s 236 cities and towns.
