Columbia crew coach Glendon found dead after storm

Richard J. Glendon known as Young Dick, coach of the Columbia crew, was found on a Chatham beach after missing since yesterday on a hunting trip. Police and about 100 volunteers searched through snow during a northeast storm. It was unclear whether drowning or exposure caused death.

McDaniel Heads New Hampshire Grange in Tight Vote

Arthur W. McDaniel of Nottingham was elected master of the New Hampshire Grange at Manchester on December 14, in a close contest that left few votes for other leaders. Mrs McDaniel was named to the post of state Ceres as Hammond of Laconia and Wesley Adams of Dondonderry contended for the retiring state master role.
