An explosion at the side entrance of ney Kravis and a neighbor’s house on Corey Hill, Boston, shattered windows and damaged a second floor room. Neighbors including Mrs Davidcoff and her three year old son fled as firemen found fuses and paper from the bomb. No motive is known.

Tragic Train Crossing Crash Kills Couple Near Plymouth
A sedan collided with a Boston and Maine locomotive at Cloughs Crossing, just south of the village, killing 18 year old Jess Weiren Swain and seriously injuring his bride of three weeks, Mrs Slande Gilnisn Swain 40. Swain died at Mack drive, while Mrs Swain was hospitalized with concussion and possible skull fracture. The crossing is unprotected and witnesses heard the train horn but did not see the collision. Medical officials and county at Plymouth are investigating as snow and fog shroud the area. The couple had been enroute to visit Mrs Swain’s dying father, Snailes Asa.

Lewiston police hunt a traveling gypsy band after Patrick Cadigan lost two thousand dollars to a con. He was told to bring cash to their Lewiston street quarters and the group allegedly touched the money before sewing a bag to his coat. Cadigan opened the bag to find only paper wads. Police traced the gypsies to their lodging, but they had already left town with no clue to their next stop.
