Desperate Prisoner Attacks Associate in Concord Yard

In Concord the fifty year prisoner John Williams allegedly assaulted a French Canadian inmate in the prison yard during noon line deployment. Williams, a murder convict from Dover, reportedly overpowered the man and attempted a fatal strike before guards intervened, with others unable to aid. Williams is described as highly dangerous among inmates.

Naval Assignments Delay Asiatic Squadron Command

Washington dispatch reports Admiral Evans will not command the Asiatic Squadron until late next spring.
