Freezing Rain Brings Death on New England Highways
Six people were killed and many injured as freezing rain and dense fog paralysed travel across New England. North Berwick Girl, 18 Hurt in Five-Car Crash
An 18 year old North Berwick girl is partially conscious at Wentworth Hospital Dover with a possible skull fracture after a five car collision on Route 4 in Rollinsford. A former New Hampshire Technical Institute student, Lloyd R Hilton, 28, of Circuit Road, pleaded guilty to stealing 250 from the institute and was placed on two years probation after arraignment in Superior Court Exeter. Richard McKenna of York Harbor got two years probation after pleading guilty to breaking and entering the Pannaway Club with intent to commit larceny. A Hampton woman received a year in Hillsborough County Jail after pleading guilty to forgery and two embezzlement counts. Lena B Locke was charged with embezzling 440.
