DeMolay night at the Masonic Temple drew a large crowd from St John’s, 4 P&AM, as four former DeMolay members were exemplified as Master Mason. Allan M Wilson, Bela Kingtran, and James E Whalley led the ceremony with numerous officers named from St Johns and St Andrew’s lodges. Several assistants and officers from multiple lodges aided in the evening’s work.
Rev. Alexander Sloan of the Congregational Church New Castle will conduct the service at the Wentworth Home tomorrow at 2 30. The North Church choir will provide music. The Women's Relief Corps recently donated a national flag and staff to the Wentworth Home and these gifts will be presented during the service.
In Mukden Manchuria on December 12 observers noted heavy snow slowed Japanese expeditionary forces. Chinese generals at Chinchow and bandit leaders were expected to adjust operations to a League Council plan and await a neutral investigating commission. General Honjo denied any planned drive on Chinchow and said no major military activity was under way. The overall mood among observers was that Chinchow remained quiet.
