State program aids rejects with medical care in New Hampshire
A 1962 program helps New Hampshire and Vermont youths rejected for medical or psychiatric reasons by the Armed Services to obtain care and guidance. About 896 men from the two states have used the system, with four in five employed and able to cover treatment costs, while the program itself funds mainly counseling and doctor referrals.
