Boiler explosion at glue factory tears building open

A glue factory boiler exploded today causing extensive structural damage and injuring one worker. The boiler, tested for sixty pounds of steam, was operating between thirty and forty at the moment. Bricks, timbers and debris flew as insurance covered the wreckage, while emergency crews and nearby crowds rushed to the scene. The injured man was treated locally as sections of the ruined room collapsed above him.

The town will host a Thursday evening lecture at the town hall about the aerial course already conducted successfully. Ruth-Butts Carson from Florence Italy is noted as the lecturer to present on the topic.

Edith St. Clair Wins $25,500 Suit Over Klaw & Erlanger

New York December 7 Edith St Clair actress won a $25,500 suit against Klaw and Erlanger as a jury ruled her contract with the theatrical firm valid. The trial featured claims of blackmail and duress by Abraham L Erlanger who said the contract was signed under pressure to protect his wife who was ill and later divorced him. The contract provided $2,500 a year for ten years and was fulfilled for one year per testimony.
