York Police Report Break At Reid Estate
Police report a break in at Fergus Reid’s summer estate on Starboard Lane in York. Chief Albert E. Moulton says entry was gained by breaking a glass window to the servants’ quarters. The interior was ransacked, with disturbed closets and motion boxes. fingerprints were found. The caretaker, Carroll Sterling, reported the break after returning from a noon-hour absence. Reid resides year-round on Park Avenue, New York.
