London reports no British hint from Rome that Mussolini is ready for peace talks while Anglo-French peace teams in Paris pursue terms. No advances or approaches have reached Britain, signaling no readiness to negotiate as skirmishes intensify. In Eritrea, fighting grows hotter with four Italian soldiers killed and Ethiopian defenders sustaining unknown losses after clashes at Debril and other sites.
