Col Jol W Gaff assumed command Monday of the 42nd Bombardment Wing at Loring Air Force Base home of SAC B 52 Strat jets. A Battle Creek Michigan native with over 4000 flying hours including 550 in B 52s he holds the Distinguished Flying Cross. He succeeds Col Selmon W Wells who now leads the reactivated 45th Air Division overseeing a Snark guided missile installation under construction at Presque Isle AFB.

Shipyard Ceiling To Remain Stable

The Navy informed the senator the job ceiling for fiscal 1956 would remain near level. as of Oct 31 total employment was 1110 with adjustments anticipated across trades.
