Five Convicts Break From Mass Prison in Boston Escape

A gang of at least five prisoners broke from the Massachusetts State Prison in Charlestown. One convict was killed and a truck driver slugged with an iron pipe. Guards and police chased fugitives. two captured near the yard and others detained after gunfire. Names include Philip Naples and William McManus. injuries reported, no full details yet.

Alleged theft and abduction tied to Albany taxi crew

In a Portsmouth-bound plan, a Davis and an unnamed companion allegedly robbed a man and seized his car. Davis was arrested June 12 in this city, then taken to Concord. The pair reportedly forced the victim at gunpoint to drive to Concord and back, with no trace found of the accomplice. Separately, Cohen Robertson of Lamar County, Alabama, harvested a 20 1/2 pound cabbage.
