Tamworth December 2 Deputy Sheriff Harry M Leavitt said Harold Wendell Falkins 33 Tamworth sportsman has been taken into custody in connection with the fatal shooting of Chester Whiting 37 fur trapper ten days ago. Whiting was shot through the back as he stooped over a brook the bullet and lost. The sheriff said charge not yet determined. Deputies found the exploded shell and confiscated all rifles in the village. Captain Charles Van Amburgh Massachusetts state police examined rifles and determined one fired the bullet.
