Dexter Woman Ends Suspected Child Murder Case
Mrs Flattie L. Whitten, arrested on suspicion of killing her nine year old daughter, died by hanging in custody after the child’s funeral. Autopsy found poison traces. exhumation of another girl, aged eleven, from last September also showed poison. Husband died two years ago under mysterious circumstances. Insurance total was 141 dollars. Arraignment held. coroner’s jury ruled the younger child died by poison administered by mother. Further hearing set for next Tuesday.
