A masked robber armed with two guns attempted to hold up the People's State Bank in Scottsville Kentucky but was captured. Officials said about $20000 was dropped during the arrest. Carl Wilson local hardware dealer and son of a prominent resident was identified as the bandit. The man failed to vault the vault and fled after deputies and police arrived.

The hall featured signal flags and a white target centerpiece from a Ryé Beach encampment as seven hits were claimed by the battery. The evening opened with a half hour concert by Nate Gold and his orchestra, followed by a grand march. Officers and men wore new uniforms. sabers and a cordogon belt were presented for attendance and service. The event funds future equipment needs and sets the stage for more benefits next year.
