Postal worker guilty in 1915 Cracker Jack card theft

Richard Trofatter Jr., 31, of Wells Maine, pleaded guilty to theft of lost property after stealing a 1915 Cracker Jack baseball card mailed from Wisconsin to a Maine buyer. He was fired fined given a suspended sentence and ordered to perform community service and reimburse the USPS.

One dead in Route 1 head-on crash in North Hampton

Car crash on Route 4 in Dover area under investigation

A 52 year old Lee man died after a Tuesday morning collision on Route 4 near the DOT weigh station between Madbury Road and Main Street. Police arrived around 6 20 a m and began an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The town of Kensington marked New Hampshire’s first West Nile positive mosquito finding this year prompting DHHS to urge residents to protect themselves. The positive result came from a Kensington mosquito pool as state health officials cautioned the public.
