Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery with Rev. Thomas W Cushing at the grave. arrangements were by W P Miskell & Co.

Plans for Aug 28 dinner at Second Christian vestry accompany York County Boy Scout drive. Sunday services at Second Methodist Church include 10 am Sunday school and 10 am and 7 pm sermons led by Rev. Fredric Olsen with Miss Edith Lewis as organist. Dorothea Emerson returns to Portsmouth after two weeks in Beverly and West Medford masses. Dorothy Graves visits her aunt at the navy yard.

Police in vestigated repeated reports of rifle shots near Atlantic Heights. They found a 22 rifle being fired by boys, ending concerns of potential injuries.
Laconia announces an all New Hampshire drum corps contest sponsored by Frank W. Wilkins Post of the American Legion to be held September 3. The committee includes Sid Shastany Merlin Noyes Fred Bedard and Harry Frost.

Beginning Sept 30 changes will occur in local letter carrier routes at the post office. There are 13 carriers including two R P 20. positions. With the retirement of Ralph Biggar there will be no replacement. instead a revision of routes will be implemented.
A morning ceremony at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred E. Dinsmore in Kittery united Adelaide Maria Dinsmore and Mila Emerson Cushman of Montgomery Massachusetts. The couple plans residence at 67 Jefferson Street Westfield Massachusetts and will host at home after Sept. 15.
