Judge Coffey Found in Violation of Judicial Conduct
Rockingham County Superior Court Judge Patricia Coffey was found in violation of the judicial conduct code for sleeping on a bench. An August 21 ruling by the New Hampshire Judicial Conduct Committee mandated a medical exam and imposed a one year sanction. The panel’s action was signed by Coffey and JCC chair Sylvia Dupuis.

Sharks seen near Libby's Oceanside Camp prompt York Beach swim ban
Three shark sightings in 48 hours led York Beach officials to close all beaches to swimming. Town Manager Rob Yandow confirmed the first sighting reported by Libbys Oceanside Camp owner Norm Davidson, who described a 16 foot shark 500 to 1000 feet offshore. Police Chief Doug Bracy and other officials met at Long Sands Beach to discuss the response.
