Last Swim Ends In Near Tragedy At Hampton Beach
A 12 year old girl from Woodstock Vermont nearly drowned at Hampton Beach yesterday afternoon while visiting with a family. Beverly Pearsons was knocked over by a wave south of the police station and later found face down. Lifeguard William Glynn revived her at the police station with artificial respiration. She was examined by Dr. Charles Bailey and taken to Exeter hospital in good condition with water in one lung but not seriously injured. Stewart Hill helped locate the girl.
