Sarah Brown, CNN producer turned Portsmouth native, champions sustainable efforts in Kittery. Founding member of Stewardship of the Earth at St. John’s Church, founder of Cool Kittery, and member of the Kittery Energy Advisory Committee. Leads efforts for wind power at the transfer station and Green Alliance, linking Seacoast businesses to green practices. Her home relies on biofuel via Simply Green and Maine Clean Power supplies green electricity to Central Maine Power customers. Brown’s activism grew after exposure to An Inconvenient Truth, following a return from five years in Russia.
