Severe storm destroys homes on North Hampton seacoast
A lightning storm near 6 p.m. Wednesday damaged about 20 mobile homes at Walhurt Residence Park on Lafayette Road North Hampton as trees toppled onto homes in Lafayette Terraces. Red Cross placed residents in hotels. Fire crews reported multiple house and property damage across the area with roads blocked and power outages.

North Church Steeple Scaffolding Reopens Pleasant Street
Pleasant Street in Portsmouth was reopened Tuesday after scaffolding around the North Church was deemed secure. City Manager John Bohenko cited an independent structural engineer certifying the scaffolding as safe and allowing traffic to resume while the 150 year old steeple renovation continues, with a brief delay to the schedule due to storm damage.
