Terrific blasts at arsenal shake Managua Nicaragua
A violent series of explosions rocked the Campbo de Marce arsenal in Managua, Nicaragua, killing or wounding many national guardsmen as crowds gathered for a flea market. The blasts, believed accidental, rattled homes and sent shells across the city while authorities urged calm and deployed guards to city streets and surrounding roads. Lightning strikes CCC camp killing three youths in Maine
In Lewiston Maine a lightning bolt hit a civilian conservation corps camp near St Marie's Hospital injuring many.
