Quarrel Over Girl Ends in Violent Death in Vermont

Vermont man Murray 21 admitted fatally shooting Albert Belair 20 after a quarrel over a girl near Willisburg. Belair’s body showed a bullet wound and trauma. Murray is held on suspicion of murder with a grand jury pending. The two were seen together at the Begins home in Williston before the incident.

Governor Delays His Statement On Dickinson

Concord August 1 API Gov Sherman Adams office said a statement on the status of Daniel H Dickinson suspended highway department chief engineer is expected in four weeks or two. Dickinson 71 in charge of the 7.5 million seacoast toll road was suspended July 15. Ally Gen Phinney to probe Dickinsons activities. Dickinson has demanded reasons for his suspension.

Interest grows in Admiral Village home purchases with August deadline

With the August fifteenth deadline nearing for ten Ant Purchase of Village Homes in Admiral Village only twenty applications remain. Project manager George H Lavallee said interest is rising as the limit approaches. No sales are yet completed but purchasers are expected to take over soon. Minor Accidents Reported Here

Two minor weekend traffic accidents were reported by Portsmouth police. Charles E. Harmon of 234 Aldrich Road and Robert A. Speers of Greenwood Mass collided early Saturday at Granite Street and Woodbury Avenue with no injuries. An accident yesterday involved Alpert Koapke of Rochester N Y and Allison W. Locke of Jacksonville Fla at Congress Street with no injuries.
