Million Loss in Newark Fire

The Newark fire destroyed seven buildings in South Newark, reducing the site to blackened ruins. Authorities estimate the loss at about 1 million dollars as flames outran firefighters before they could contain the blaze. The blaze began last night and caused extensive damage to the neighborhood.
