Strafford County Deputy Attorney says Rye businessman and former congressman candidate Dodds, 42, faces misdemeanor counts for conduct after an accident and causing a false public alarm. He allegedly left the scene of the April 2006 crash, was later found in woods, and is accused of reporting a false emergency to a government agency.
PORTSMOUTH The cost of the multi agency search and rescue operation following Gary Dodds and Stra County Deputy Attorney Tom Velardi is under scrutiny. If Dodds is convicted of causing the search, restitution could be sought, Velardi said. In June 2006, State Police Lt. Robert Quinn told the Herald the cost for his troopers to work.
