Boston and Washington dispatches report fair weather for Friday and Saturday. In Boston the forecast cites fresh northwest winds, while Washington notes generally fair conditions with fresh west to north winds across New England.

The agricultural department weather bureau records yesterday's conditions at 8 p m with temperatures listed for Boston New York Philadelphia Albany Buffalo Detroit St Paul Bismarck Jacksonville and others. Observations include wind directions from NW to SE and varied conditions from snow to rain and clear skies.

At the New England Shipbuilding yard in Bath two ship carpenters Leroy Ames and Philip Gallant fell twenty eight feet from a bow staging. Ames suffered a broken right thigh a severely fractured knee cap a broken left wrist and right ankle. He was taken to Maine General Hospital by the one o clock train. Gallant escaped with lesser injuries.
In Eastport on March 29 Justice L W D Lamond heard the case of L D Clark and sons against Standard Sardine Company over lease forfeiture of a large sardine plant. Plaintiffs won a writ of possession and plan to operate the factory this season, with an appeal to the April term.
New York reports D S Sanford of New Haven, engineer for the Connecticut Shell commission, arranging a regional oystermen alliance. He claims options on 85 percent of the oyster business and plans a meeting to discuss unified action across New York New Jersey Connecticut and Rhode Island. Havana births governor-general's ten pound daughter as Mrs Wood welcomes a royal infant. Chicago March 29. Record says machinists may return to work Monday if arbitration settles the strike. Arbitrators to be decided tomorrow and a date for cessations to begin is fixed, but an order may go out before the board acts and set the men to work again.
