Youtsey the auditor's clerk charged as an accessory was visited in jail by Col Campbell who reported no new revelations from Youtsey, while Culton provided prosecutors information not in the form of a confession.

Powers Held as Accessory to Goebel Murder Trial

In Frankfort on the fourth day of Caleb Powers’ examination trial Judge Moore indicated he believes Powers was connected with the Goebel assassination conspiracy and ordered him held without bail for the Franklin county grand jury. Detectives arrested H E Youtsey as the suspected accessory before the fact. Davis was granted bail while Culton remained under private guard.
