Funeral services for Mrs Horace H Ricker were held Saturday at her 74 Winter street home, led by Rev Hack. Relatives and friends attended as Hayden quartette sang favorite hymns. Flowers, including a large wreath from Poland Springs relatives, filled the room. Pallbearers included Lyman M. Cousion KE. S. ver. ett S. O. Ripley and Edwin Milliken. Interment was at Evergreen.
The canvassing committee reports votes for Maine Democratic club officers. Llewellyn Barton leads president, G B Butler 1 vote. secretary votes total 30 with 52 for Wm M Ingraham and four others 1 each. treasurer 85 with 80 for Joseph A McGowan and two others 1 each. Cumberland vice president totals include Stephen Perry 11 and several 4s and 3s. York county elects Walter D Lavie vice president with 15. executive committeeman Geo F Haley 7 and Lemuel L Lord 6. Officers to be elected January 5 1900 from the top vote earners. Pine Tree lodge No 11 KE of P elects officers including J Butler M of Hake and B Brown M of K. Trustes named Arthur H Montton H P Artemas G. Grand Lodge delegate Willliam Haerlbort alternate Andrew J Cummings.
Funeral services for Michael Somers longtime servant at the Clapp homestead on Congress street were held at his Marion and Washington streets home. A large attendance and numerous bands attended. Father O'Brien of the Cathedral officiated and the interment followed at Calvary cemetery.
