Peter Graham, a year old boy from Bridgeport, charged with murder in the first degree for causing Louis Stahlmap's death, was found guilty of manslaughter by a Superior Court jury. Sentencing is set for next Tuesday.
A serious wreck on the Fort Worth and Dove City railroad south of Magenta injured several and left two men dead. Among the injured are listed John F. Mall of Dan and John J. Kunts, a passenger, with residence details uncertain.
In Philadelphia Admiral Dewey refused to state if he would run as an independent. He acknowledged being a Democrat after reporters pressed questions at a concert for families of soldiers. His wife introduced him to the press and he declined further political remarks.
Four Pennsylvania delegates to the national Democratic convention in Kansas City are instructed by the state convention to support William J. Bryan for president.
