Alabama campers aid Portales children through 89 projects
Ken Conaway Judy Conaway and 25 Alabama Campers on a Mission volunteers spent three weeks at New Mexico Baptist Children's Home in Portales completing 89 projects. They built a greenhouse improved floors baths and assisted 4 H projects while forming close bonds with the children. Executive director Randy Rankin praised the effort noting the group finished in three weeks what could take a year and that the interaction with children left a lasting impression.
