Air Force cancels low altitude training over New Mexico Colorado
Cannon AFB officials say the Air Force terminated its low level flight plan using CV-22 and MC-130 aircraft in northern New Mexico and Colorado after an Environmental Assessment found significant regional impact. Brig. Gen. Kingsley says the EA was halted to allow deeper analysis of training needs and updated requirements for all base aircraft. Capt. Laurence Van der Oord notes the decision follows public and agency input and lessons from Afghanistan.
