Portales city councilors study a $6 million family entertainment center with five theaters, 12 bowling lanes, laser tag, a restaurant, arcade, and more. A feasibility study by Bill Kellen of AFEC projects 25 years of $59 million in entertainment revenue and $4 million in sales taxes, funded by Roosevelt County CDDC.

Heritage Days Fun Run winners and participants
Forty nine runners took part in Saturdays Heritage Days Fun Run. The 5K women winner was Jose Mendoza a 16 year old from Portales with 19 minutes 20 seconds. Dallas Ellsworth a 25 year old from Portales won the 10K in 43 50. Carmen Pacheco from Portales won the 5K walk in the 50 and over cup with 42 44.
