A U S Dairy Association and National Agricultural Statistics Service report lists Roosevelt and Curry counties among the nation’s top 20 dairy counties. Melrose students win national BPA award in Cincinnati
Melrose high school students finished third at the Business Professionals of America national conference in Cincinnati in early May. The six member team competed in a 26 team parliamentary procedure event, answering 50 questions and solving a problem during a business meeting. Team members were seniors Ryan Belcher Josh Bright Cody Cochran Seth Hairgrove Ryan Willoughby and junior Jason Runyan.

Reagan library service draws mourners to campus visit
The library prepared for 2000 visitors an hour over 30 hours as mourners waited in line to enter the Reagan library. Arnold Schwarzenegger Maria Shriver and other figures attended with children and families, while crowds left carnations flags and jelly beans near a shrine.
